Exchange of cryptocurrencies Solana coins, such as SOL, and other tokens supported by this network has now been uploaded to Coinbase. On Solana, however, interaction with apps and NFTs is currently unavailable.

In browser resolution, the Coinbase Wallet currently only supports the Solana network. According to corporate executives, support for the mobile wallet would come later. The exact day on which this will occur is unknown.

The connection between Coinbase Wallet and Solana is complicated because, for the first time, functionality for a network will be enabled to the wallet that is not based on the EVM – the Ethereum blockchain’s virtual processor.

If all goes according to plan, this wallet will be able to compete with the most popular wallet, MetaMask, and push the leading Solana-based wallet, Phantom, off of the first place.

In response to the absence of support for NFTs and Dapps, a Coinbase official stated that the cryptocurrency exchange is working on it. Support for non-fungible tokens and apps will be implemented as soon as it is technically viable, allowing you to rapidly and easily use all of the capabilities of the Solana ecosystem.

Remember that, in addition to the newly added network, Coinbase Wallet now supports Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Chain, and Avalanche blockchains. This wallet has over 13 million users all around the world.
