The number of crypto-wealthy people is growing.

Traditionally, Forbes magazine releases its yearly list of the most powerful and wealthy people globally. Those who control billions of dollars in digital assets are included in the list of the world’s wealthiest individuals, which is unsurprising. The number of these folks has increased by 60% since last year.

According to their post on the wealthiest cryptocurrency owners, the number of crypto billionaires has increased from eleven to nineteen this year. Seven more people have become billionaires due to digital assets throughout the world.

Binance CEO and founder Changpeng “CZ” Zhao has held the title of richest crypto millionaire since last year. His net worth is believed to be $65 billion. In the overall ranking of the world’s wealthiest individuals, he is ranked 19th.

With $24 billion, FTX founder and CEO Sam Bankman-Fried took second place, while Coinbase CEO and founder Brian Armstrong took third place with $6.6 billion.

FTX co-founder and chief technology officer Gary Wang, who has $5.6 billion in crypto, and Alchemy co-founders Nikil Viswanathan and Joseph Lau, who each have $2.4 billion in crypto, are among the newcomers to this list.

Naturally, the list is populated mostly by the founders of various firms that deal with cryptocurrency, which is unsurprising. Additionally, people who hold other traditional assets are not included in the crypto-rich list.
