Ozzy Osbourne announced the release of his CryptoBatz NFT collection on Tuesday, tweeting that he had manufactured 9,666 NFTs with a unique function that allows collectors to mutate with another NFT from their wallet.
Ozzy Osbourne announced the upcoming debut of his NFT collection with an expletive-laden Twitter message, noting that the NFT project was “created by yours self…” in a true rock and roller manner. The collection is Ozzy Osborne’s first step into NFTs, and it was created in partnership with NFT studio Sutter Systems.
The stage moment that Ozzy Osbourne refers to in the title of his NFT project is the 1983 show in Des Moines, where the rocker bit a bat’s skull and went on to make rock history.
Osbourne’s CryptoBatz collection is unique in that it has a feature that allows collectors to activate ‘MutantBatz,’ which can ‘bite’ and mutate with another NFT from their wallets, such as Bored Ape Yacht Club, SupDucks, and Cryptotoadz.
Along with the debut of NFTs, Ozzy announced a treasure search called AncientBatz, which would give CryptoBatz holders a treasure hunt game that will reward hunters with the ability to spawn 100 MutantBatz.
CryptoBatz will be released in mid-January, but users of the CryptoBatz Discord channel will be able to join the presale allowlist and get a head start.
