- Papa John’s debuted their first NFT line.
- The line is known as Papa Johns NFT Hot Bags.
- A total of 19,840 NFTs will be distributed for free.
Papa Johns has unveiled its first-ever NFT collection, which includes 19,840 collected NFTs, as part of the UK’s largest free NFT giveaway. Fans will be able to get their hands on nine pizza hot bag-inspired designs when they release in early March.
Papa Johns UK initially teased its pizza customers on Twitter with a 3-second video. But then, the pizza mogul praised the event as “something amazing” that everyone should not miss.
Furthermore, the NFT collection includes design names like ‘Papa 1984,’ ‘Papa Cheese Melt,’ and ‘Papa Tag.’
In addition, Papa Johns NFT Hot Bags were created on Tezos. These NFTs are “cleaner” than those produced on Ethereum since Tezos does not need large quantities of energy, spending nearly two million times less energy than popular Proof of Work networks. As a result, these NFTs are also more energy-efficient and more widely available.
In particular, the ‘Papa 1984’ NFT backpack resembles the Gen Z trend for insulated streetwear. It is designed to look like thermal pizza hot bags and is used as a fashion item. It features a crossbody strap that is adjustable and has a repeating logo embossed on it. This NFT design is also available in three block hues with a color pop tag.
Meanwhile, the NFT bags ‘Papa Cheese Melt’ and ‘Papa Tag’ were inspired by street art graffiti drawings blended with dance fashion styling. Again, this emphasizes the hip-hop period, which began in 1984 when Papa Johns first serviced the public.
Notably, the NFT Hot Bags came after Papa Johns’ first satirical fashion line. Last year, the platform brought Cheddar to the forefront by introducing its streetwear line offered on Depop.
