D.C. United has announced that they will sign a three-year deal with XDC Network, a blockchain technology company. Thanks to Allied Sports, the relationship was made possible, which was instrumental in bringing the two parties together.

This is the first time an American major sports team has partnered with a blockchain network, giving D.C. United fans exclusive access and experiences. The collaboration will kick off this year, with the XDC Network logo appearing on the front of both home and away jerseys, as well as training tops.

The new black-and-red kit, which features the XDC Network logo across the front, will be available for purchase online and at D.C. United Club Shop at Audi Field.

The partnership will provide a one-of-a-kind Fan Token program that will reward supporters’ loyalty with exclusive events and access, providing a unique, unrivaled fan experience for the professional sports club.

In addition, XDC Network will launch a video platform that will allow users to learn about the advantages of blockchain and NFT technology. More information about the launch and how fans can join the platform will be available soon.

The network’s low gas prices and high transaction speeds will benefit more than just players and D.C. As the XDC Network, United supporters also allow developers and content creators to interact with the ecosystem and tokenize a range of assets using blockchain-powered smart contracts.
