CertiK has raised $80 million in its most recent round of funding, bringing its total worth to roughly $1 billion. The funding round is the largest in the history of the blockchain industry
The investment round’s specifics
Sequoia Capital China led the B2 Funding Round, which included existing investors such as Coatue Management, Tiger Global, and GL Ventures, Hillhouse Capital’s venture capital arm. CertiK has already completed three investment rounds in less than four months, raising a total of $140 million.
CertiK has had considerable growth across the board, including revenue, products, and personnel. The company’s revenue has increased by 20 times in the last year and is expected to expand even more.
CertiK has also experienced a huge increase in headcount, which has increased by fourfold, and the company is still actively looking for crucial positions. Dr. David Tarditi, a Vice President of Engineering at CertiK, has joined the business. Dr. Tarditi has spent the past 16 years at Microsoft fostering and directing research and engineering teams. He is also the owner of 22 patents and has studied typed intermediate languages. These languages assure that compiler phases retain crucial accuracy features to compiler developers.
Monier Jalal, who has more than 20 years of experience and leadership in cyber security, has also joined CertiK. Mr. Jalal has been an integral part of the founding and management teams of multiple cybersecurity firms, assisting them in launching their products.
New goods are in the works
CertiK has also created Skynet, a monitoring tool available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and can detect and protect blockchains from sophisticated attacks. Skynet and Security Leaderboard, both from CertiK, have experienced remarkable growth, with Skynet’s booked revenue up 2300 percent since the end of 2020. Users of Security Leaderboard, on the other side, have increased by 2000%. According to CertiK, more items are in the works and will be introduced soon.
