BNB Chain, a Binance-backed smart contract platform, has announced a new cooperation with the University of Zurich’s Blockchain Center to participate in the upcoming three weeks of the University’s International Summer Schools for blockchain education.
Students will be taught the fundamentals of critical blockchain topics, such as the Consensus Model, assets on the ledger, data storage in blocks, identity, governance, and smart contracts, with a major theme of exploring a “Deep Dive into Blockchain.” According to the release, Alvin Kan, BNB Chain’s Ecosystem Coordinator for Games and NFT and Director of Data & Research, will represent the company in the initiative.
BNB Chain intends to hasten the advancement of blockchain technology and provide students with the tools they need to create creative initiatives. Through this partnership, students will have the chance to learn more about blockchain technology, contribute to the development of Web3, and accelerate the widespread use of blockchain.
In particular, Alvin will hold an NFT workshop for students and assist in developing a segment of the course on core blockchain ideas. He will also assist in creating a use case in which a team of five students will work together on a project while utilizing the benefits of the BNB Chain.
A certificate will be awarded for participation in the program, along with a Proof-of-Achievement certificate in the form of NFT. The larger Binance ecosystem is in sync with the intrinsic innovations of blockchain as a technology that is disrupting many industries.
The exchange raised $500 million earlier this month to support the adoption of Web3 and blockchain innovation, with education playing a key role in this strategy. The trading platform has recently agreed to a deal with Kazakhstan’s government under which it would work to promote blockchain education as that nation tries to embrace digital change better.
