The sale of toks depicting history in the fields of sport, politics, and mode will take place on the site.
The leading digital artist Mike Winkelmann — better known as Beeple — has launched We, New, a platform that has been used as a token to sell emblematic moments in sport, policy, art, and fashion (NFTs).
The Platform has been supported by business titans like TIME, Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, Wasserman and Endeavor, and sports and music industries.
“They give people a way to meaningfully engage with the memories and moments that matter to them — maybe even inspired them or shaped who they are in some way. We.new exists to facilitate and make concrete these once-abstract connections.”
The NFTs sold on WE will also provide the opportunity, including the actual sculptures and the chance to meet and welcomes artists and sportives, to secure real world artifacts and unique experiences.
The auction of the tennis great Andy Murrays 2013 Wimbledon Grand Slam will take place at Wenew from 2-5 July. In reality, the highest bidder will also play tennis with Murray and two tickets for the 2022 men’s finals in Wimbledon.
Beeple was a pioneer of form when the NFT craze began to bubble last year.
As a museum auctioning film that can also be exhibited in a gallery of art or displayed in the home, Beeple audited its Crossroad NFT for $6.6 million in February 2015. In March, Beeple’s work Everyday: the first five thousand days of the auction was followed up to success: a record $69 million through Christie’s main auction house.
